It’s that time of year again when everyone’s attention is turned to Big Brother and the new housemates. This year has again challenged the traditional format with housemates having to earn their place in the house.

The challenges seem fairly bizarre with two contestants legally changing their names to halfwit and dogface. The remaining non housemates also tried to win a place in the house with a biscuit dunking competiton. Cairon won with a digestive lasting 25.5 seconds, his win he is attributing to the choice of biscuit.

Dogface , formally known as Sophie Reade once kept a playboy shoot a secret from her parents. She featured in the online edition of Playboy dressed in sexy lingerie. Her name changing has got her into the house and hopefully the playboy stunt won’t have bothered her parents too much
Dogface says her proudest achievement was failing all her GCSE’s and she dislikes spiders, sand and boring people. She did want to be an air hostess buy realised she didn’t like flying.

Siavesh is an events organiser, into fashion and according to himself defines cool. Sophia is single and short and has a seize the day attitude. Sree is an Indian business student and happy.

So now we know the housemates let’s watch and wait as more revelations unfold, maybe something more exciting than a sexy lingerie photo shoot.

 Last week the Sun reported some exiting news for all those IT workers out there. IT workers actually make the best lovers. The study taken anonymously in the UK of 2000 men and women found 82% of IT workers consider their partner’s needs above their own so are the most selfless lovers.

When it comes to sexy lingerie, many people get basques, corsets and bustiers mixed up quite easily. Not everyone can spot the difference and it is all too easy to get them confused. So here is a little insight on the differences between these three popular articles of lingerie.

Now it’s important to note we are talking about the modern versions of these garments which have changed considerably size their historical beginnings, though each keeps something of its heritage too.

Bustiers

Now bustiers are probably the easiest to distinguish of the three lingerie items we are discussing. A bustier is a form fitting garment that normally reaches just below the rib area (though it can be shorter or a little longer). It is to push up the bust by tightening against the ribs and upper midriff and can be worn as an undergarment (popular with low backed dresses) or many are worn as an outer garment which shows off the bust and often the midriff. Bustiers can have straps or be strapless (which is more traditional); strapless versions are very popular under strapless dresses.

Corsets

Traditionally worn to hold the figure in or shape the body, corsets have a very similar role today. Unlike the bustier, a corset is deigned to not only push up the bust but to hold in and shape the waist which is achieved by laces up either the front or back. Corsets will always come down to an area just below the waistline so it can achieve this purpose, though not all are actually designed to be tightened and are merely for show.

Corsets are typically strapless in design and are often worn visible with other clothing to achieve the look of a top; such as with a pair of jeans, trousers or a skirt. As lingerie many corsets come with suspenders attached for stockings

Basques

Though traditionally corsets and basques were very different, in the modern take on these garments they are very similar. The man difference is that basques are not used to shape the waist by puling it in, and are more delicate as the support is not as needed; for this reason basques are normally worn for comfort rather than body shaping. Basques also tend to extend lower than a corset down to the hips, thought hey can be a little shorter. Like corsets they are normally strapless to accentuate the bosom and they also often incorporate suspenders for stockings.

So a quick summary, all of these push up and accentuate the bust, though bustiers are shorter and frame the upper torso, corsets are longer and are used to hold in the midsection and accentuate the hips and basques are similar to corsets but are not used to hold in the body and are normally a little longer.
